Aesthetic Treatment At The Highest Level
A Common Aesthetic Concern
Upper eyelids develop when the skin of
the
upper eyelid
becomes loose and
partially or fully covers the mobile lid.
They are often
hereditary or appear with
age. For many people, they create a tired,
exhausted
appearance, even if they feel
perfectly fine.
Three Options For A Refreshed Look
Whether gentle cosmetic
procedures or surgical
interventions – there
are
numerous
methods to correct
Upper eyelids. Decide which
method best suits
your face and
your
preferences.
Botox & Fillers
Lifts the eye area minimally invasively and gives it a fresher
appearance.
Laser Treatment
Gentle tightening using modern laser technology, without the need for
a scalpel.
Upper Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty)
A small incision along the natural
crease removes excess skin.

A Worthwhile Investment
The cost of a upper eyelid correction can vary
depending on the type of treatment and individual effort required. A
treatment with Botox and fillers typically costs between €300–€600, a laser
treatment around €800–€1,000, and a surgical eyelid lift approximately
€2,500–€3,000.

In most cases, the results of an eyelid correction last many years. However,
since the natural aging process continues, some patients may require a
repeat procedure after several years.
Most patients experience minimal discomfort. Surgical procedures are
performed under local anesthesia, making them virtually painless. Minimally
invasive methods are even gentler.
You can typically return to daily activities within a few days. Mild
swelling and bruising may occur but usually subside within one to two weeks.
Wearing sunglasses can help protect the eye area during the initial healing
phase.
In traditional eyelid surgery, the incision is made along the natural eyelid
crease, making the scar barely visible. Minimally invasive techniques leave
no visible scars.
The final results become visible after a few weeks, once the swelling has
completely subsided. With minimally invasive methods, improvements can often
be seen within just a few days.
Yes, if severely drooping eyelids obstruct your vision, a correction can
provide functional benefits by expanding the field of vision. In such cases,
a medically necessary procedure may be advisable.
As with any procedure, risks exist but are rare. Possible side effects
include mild bruising, swelling, or temporary dry eyes. With modern
techniques and experienced specialists, risks are kept to a minimum.
Eyelid correction is generally considered a cosmetic procedure and is not
covered by health insurance. However, if a significant visual impairment can
be documented, coverage may be considered in some cases.
