An ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is a phakic lens that is implanted in addition to the eye’s
natural lens. It is used to correct refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and
astigmatism. The ICL is made of Collamer, a biocompatible material that is well tolerated by the
eye.
• Are at least 18 years old
• Have had a stable prescription for at least one year
• Are not a suitable candidate for LASIK or other laser vision correction procedures
• Do not have serious eye conditions such as glaucoma or inflammatory eye diseases
